Subject: Interesting article on use of folders in SharePoint

Althought I agree fully with Sharee that we should try to avoid the use of folders in SharePoint, there is a compelling argument (due to performance issues and limitation on numbers of documents supported in Doc Library) that may be sufficient justification for using a folder content type as discussed in the following article (a good read!):
